Exhaust Mods, Ever Try This
We probably all do this, see a Mustang up ahead and try to catch up with them just to hear the exhaust. Yesterday while out shopping I noticed a Windveil Blue GT stopped at a traffic light. I was able to pull up right next to him. I checked out his car and exhaust and it definately all looked stock. When the light turned green he pulled away and the sound was even better than the sound you hear inside the car. What I'm trying to say is if you want to hear the true exhaust sound have a buddy or wife drive your car, (like you would, no grandma drivers) take it out on a nice straight back road and while you stand there you can have them start off, accelerate past you, do a drive by, even a burnout (if you trust them enough) , etc. You now will get the true sound that people on the street hear and you yourself will get a better picture of your true exhaust sound. The stock exhaust really isn't that bad. Remember some exhausts are deffinately louder with different tones but all do not have a good sound all thru the RPM ranges. Sound Clips give you an idea of the sound but you get more by hearing the real thing.

Accelerating past Jersey barriers ROCKS!
And while you are at it - take a ride in the passenger's seat...
You miss 1/2 the G's in the driver's seat as you are concentrating on the wheel, pedals and stick...
This is a great demonstration of just how bad butt dynos are...

+2 our stangs stock exhaust definitely sounds better OUTSIDE the car, where it should. 2 weeks ago was the first time I heard my Corsas from outside the car and what a grin it made on my face!

I turn off the radio and roll down the window sometimes when I see a nice mustang nearby. They do sound so much better on the outside. I try to get my wife to trade cars with me sometimes when I meet her at work...just so I can follow the stang home!

This is the exact advice I tell everyone when they complaion their GTA's don't sound good... Without fail, they always report back that they now love their exhaust 
Even the stockers sound pretty badass from the outside.
