Default Can you chirp the tires from a dead stop (auto tranny)?

Some stock (no tune or performance mods) auto tranny GTs seem to be able to chirp or even light up the tires from a dead stop, while others seem to have the dreaded throttle lag and can't chirp 'em. That makes me wonder whether those with the throttle lag have some sort of fuel pump issue or other problem.

So, I just want to get a sense of what percentage GT auto owners can really chirp or light 'em up form a dead stop. This means no brakes applied while stomping.

With traction control off, it would light up with good conditions(with good wether, engine temp), and chirp in second. It depends on the car too, they all come a little different from the factory. I have seen an auto with tune and intake who was pissed off he couldnt get his car to peel out and i could. Now after tune and mods, it made a big difference; it easily chirps in third.

If my car were an automatic and did not have a CAI+tune there would be no way that thing could spin the tires. I have a manual and without the tune (and 17 inch stock rims) I could not maintain RPMs while spinning the tires for more than 1.5 seconds before the engine would give up and bog down. (yes, TCS and AC off). My 2002 GT GTvert did it with relative ease. The 93 octane tune really helped solve that problem but it still takes more effort than my 2002 GTvert did. I am thinking of having my fuel pump checked.

I should also note that my friend has a 2002 GTcoupe 5speed and my 2002 GTvert 5spd got waaay more traction than he ever could (due to the extra weight of the convertible).

Well, that's the problem - it aint goin' either. I stomp it, it slowly accelerates (lag) then seems to kick in. I thought it was a common issue due to the factory tune, buy judging from these responses and the poll results thus far, I'm starting to think I have a problem.
