This might be a stupid question, but what do you all consider to be the maximum rpm shift point for a 5sp 05GT? I never really been afraid to eek into the redline area once in a while (once a week or more). But I just wonder where everyone else shifts... when givin' her the goods, that is. At the track for instance (not that I have one anywhere close, but just for the purpose of the ? at hand).

stock, i would shift at about 6100. . . rev limiter is a hair after that

I shift mine at 6500rpms.

I like a smooth ride. I normally shift btwn 3,000 - 4,000 RPM. If I really want to turn heads, I go full throttle, letting my MACs roar and shift around 5,000 RPM.

Seems a bit low for getting full performance, one of my friends, at WOT, shifts as the needle is approaching 6k.

If you have the factory tune, you really need to take it up and hit the rev limiter once. It is quite and experience! If you raised it with a tuner nevermind. Stay off it once you "know" where it is!
