have a KB s/c -- should i get a custom tune

im running with 8psi on my intercooled KB with the tune that came with the kit but i was just wondering if i should go get it custom tuned. i dont know how much the tune that KB gave me is "off" but i do know they spent a lot of time making it. right now money isnt really an issue as far as a tune goes, but at the same time if i do get the custom tune i still want my car to be safe---that is to say reliable and not have problems

any input would be great

they probobly made you a "safe tune", its prolly running a little richer than normal. . .

if you want more performace, you could probobly squeeze some more out of it with a good dyno tune

I would just strap the car down to a dyno and check your air fuel ratio. From what I have seen guys are only getting 10-15 more hp out of a custom tune (not a very good return on your investment IMO) and it's not quite as safe as the KB tune then.

thanks for the info, i think im going to stick with the KB tune until i can upgrade the stock internals. i dont want a 30k car with a 6k s/c sitting in my driveway cause the engine has blown up
