I was wondering how hard it would be to change the gears yourself on our cars. I was thinking about switching to the 3.73 or 4.10.

RE: Gears
Gears are not something you should do yourself! This should be left to the pros and I have heard many stories of them messing it up. It is very difficult to set the right pinion depth to get the gears to mesh correctly. If you make an error on the install and your rear-end blows up, some serious do-do can happen on the road. Also, misaligned gears make a bunch of noise. I have a set of gears waiting to go on for last 3 months but I am having a tough time finding the right shop.

RE: Gears
Pay the money defiantely pay the money and also get it done at a reputable shop. I am speaking from personal experience, it is not something you want to try for the first time without someone there with you that is familiar with doing it.
