Default CDC Shaker Cold Air Intake

Does anyone know anything about this product from Classic Designs Concepts? I am thinking of getting it for my 06 GT convertible. Was wondering how it compares with the other Cold Air Intake systems out there. I think it looks awsome.

What I've heard you only get an increase of 1-2 HP and that's it. Is just for looks.

Its pretty much just for looks, I personally think its worth it. Had mine for a month now and love it.

I think they look great. If I wasn't going with a different hood I would get one. But they are correct, no hp's, just for looks. Although you can also run a CAI and tune with it.

Lynwood78, how do you like the MAC axle-back mufflers with Bassani x-pipe setup? I currently have MACs on my 06 GT, and the drone is annoying. Was wondering what effect putting the Bassani X-pipes had on the drone and the exhaust sound. Also considering the MAC pro-chamber.

I Have the CDC shaker on mine...

In the original configuration, it offers little help at the bottom end. It is a "Ram Air" system which requires at least 30 MPH before you start to get functional performance out of it. Hard to Dyno THAT! All I will say is the improvement is "feelable" when you punch her to WOT while going 40mph.

When I added my CAI, I retrofit the cold air feed tube from the shake to feed cool air into the CAI’s intake containment shroud. So it is still functional!

Here is my write up on the CAI install and modifications...
