Default Whining transmission

Hey guys, how normal is it for the transmission to whine and grind gears with 4300 miles on the clock? Today, it popped out of second gear...twice.
I've taken it to the dealer three times for the same thing and they said they could find anything wrong. I had the service manager in the car the last time and low and behold it grinded when putting it in first gear at a dead standstill. His response was "you pushed the clutch in too fast and the transmission didn't have time to "catch-up". HELP!!!

It's not normal, take it to a different dealer, it sounds like the syncro's are bad. If it is they may try and blame it on your driving habits tell them you have been driving a stick for awhile before this car, or they may try and say you tore them up.
