Default Oil Filter

What ones do you recommend?

Also the Ford Racing ones, avalible at dealer only? Do most larger dealers stock them or do they have to order them in?

I've been using the K&N Oil Fillter
It comes with a nice weld-nut ( 1" I think)
on the end.
Who knows if it actually filters better ?

The reason factory filters are so tight is that they are put on dry at the factory. If you want to find out about oil filters, go to Google and type in -best oil filters. There are a couple sites that REALLY go in depth, and will explain manufacturers, details etc...

Oil filters are always a compromise between filtering efficiency/particle size and flow. The best protection i.e. highest efficiency and smallest particle filtering, the lower the flow rate, which robs hp. Based upon the tests I have seen, the fiber media has the best combination of efficiency/particle size and flow. Check out the Fram X2 it does well at maximizing flow without too much of a penalty in efficiency/particle size.
