ORIGINAL: Stangie

Did you hear all deliveries to VA and WV are being held up? Something to do with railroad problems or something.
Bingo. That's what I think my dealer was saying. My car was supposed to be here Monday, but now it's delayed 2 weeks (till Sept-4th).

I just hope they have it well protected. Thinking about my nice new car sitting on an exposed tractor just sitting around for 2 weeks makes me nervous. Feels like getting a new puppy...then finding out he's stuck in a crate out on the tarmac at the airport because of some baggage mixup, and ya can't do jack about it...

Congrats!
Thanks!

If you don't want to wait, I'd suggest a CAI/Tune or exhaust.
You all are right, I'll probably wait a few months before I do anything...probably until the winter is over so I have time to use it. I know jack squat about working on engines, so I picked the CAI as my first mod because it seemed the easiest.

Johnnie D...what automated line are you talking about? Is there a way to check on the progress of our vehicles...my dealer said September 1st but I don't believe those sneaky *&$%'s. When did you place the order on your car?

Arrow...how about you, when did you place your order??

Can't wait for my bonus in October. CAI/tune and Mac axleback are as good as bolted...in my dreams at least.

Yes you call the VOPC(vehicle order processing center) 800-962-3746. You need a dealer number, Vin or Order number, body type and year vehicle. The automated system will tell you what stage your car is at. There is a lot of info on this at www.blueovalforums.com

Mine is scheduled to be built the week of sept 4th so I can't wait.

Last week of July, I think. Can't remember the exact date off the top of my head. (The order date wasn't what was on my mind.)

I called the Vehicle Order Processing Center number and went through all the necessary prompts and what not and all I got from the automated operator was the following "as of 8/20/06, your vehicle is on the ramp." What the heck does that mean????????????

ON THE RAMP means, your car has been built and is sitting on the shipping lot waiting for pickup by train or truck.
