Is the frame tied together on the new stangs??? If not, your FIRST mod should be subframe connectors. This wil make the frame more rigid therefore transferring more power to the ground. After that Id get the tuner.

The subframes are not tied to together stock. However, the S197 body is several times stiffer than the previous generation. Subframe braces do exist, but I would put them much further down the list of what mods to do.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The "weak link" on the suspension on these cars is the rear end: specifically the LCAs, but also the panhard bar, panhard brace, and rear sway bar but to a lesser extent. The factory versions of those parts are cheaply made and as a result they flex too much and traction suffers.
