How many of you are just repeating what your dash tells you? I calculate my mileage per tank and it's right around 17-18. That's me driving in 3rd when I should really be in 4th.

I'm seeing about 14.7 MPG with mostly City driving.
You guys getting 18-20 city how do you shift? I'm going 2nd-4th moderate throttle usually no more than 3300 RPMs.

I went from an 05 V6 auto to 07 GT manual with 3.55's. On the exact same commute, I got an average of 24.0 mpg on the V6 and am getting 22.7 mpg on the GT. Both of the MPG calc's were derived from a monthly expense spreadsheet, not the on-dash computer reading; although I will say the on-board computer reading has been extremely accurate on both cars.

I just ran a 2800KM road trip and logged each leg just for the sake of doing it. It was mixed highway and city driving with some fun driving in there as well (getting on it down at sea level). This included crossing a couple mountain ranges (the rockies twice) and overal average MPG on the entire trip was 20.4MPG. The best observed leg was the final leg home going 15 over the speed limit (so like 75-80 most of the way) I got 25MPG and that has a lot of hill climbs back through the mountains to Calgary.
Parts of the legs that hurt the overal average MPG was a 2 hour idle/crawl at the Peace Arch border crossing (completely lame) and my driving in and around Victoria where I was mashing the gas so much because of the sea level performance (I live 3500ft above sea level with an even higher density altitude so I noticed a big difference).
Hope that helps. Basically in city with some spirited driving, a 10mile communte each way and some side driving to the mall/groceries etc. I use a tank of gas a week.

According to the computer, I'm getting 19.7 mpg in what is mostly city driving. On a trip I took last week, running 80 mph most of the way on the interstate, I got a calculated 24.2 mpg. Car has just under 1200 miles so it's really just getting broken in.

so does that mean that you actually get better mileage with a blower?! Woo hoo! Just another reason to add to the list of why thats the only thing I want for
Christmas!
p.s. I only drive in the city recently and its a bit worse than 15 mpg for me []
