My Dad has a bassani catted x pipe, and flowmaster 40s on his 05 auto. He just bought LTs and they are soon to be installed. As of now there is a sort of drone to the exhaust that he wants to get rid of. What mufflers do you guys recommend to fix this (when LTs are on the car)???

I bought the Corsa's and no drone. Listen to someone else's car if you can with all of your different options. Sound clips don't give you a true sound.

Did you guys actually get the Flowmaster 40's or the axle back kit for the 05+ stangs? The 40's will very likely drone like to tomorrow.

I've heard not so good things about flowmaster re: drone and baffles coming loose.

also heard that best no-drone muffler around is corsa.

I got the magnadrones, err magnaflows, and wish I had put on corsa's instead.

he bought the 40s ...i dont think flowmaster had a catback out when he got the car right after the 05s came out but now hes running PYPES [:@] and they sound terrible...he cant justify forkin over the cash for corsas

I bought my Corsa's for $525. They are by far the best sounding with no drone!!!

Something a little different, I had a little drone PRIOR to my LT install at certain rpm/speeds but the LT's fixed the drone. No more since LT install.

It is possible your Lt's will eliminate the drone its self.

update.......the car now has Hooker LTs, bassani o/r X and stock catbacl...it sounds kinda raspy...what kind of catback would fix this??? magnaflows?? GTAs is it???
