Default FRPP M-5230-GTA vs M-5230-5GT* mufflers

Possibly a stupid question, but I am just now realizing there may be a difference between the M-5230-GTA mufflers offered with the ford racing power pack for $325 and the M-5230-5GT* (Borla stingers) for $529. What is the difference? Anyone used the power pack ones?

Any comments welcome.

There is a BIG difference! The GTA's are oval can mufflers with rolled tips, they are the mufflers used on the Hertz Shelby. They are 50 state mufflers and are much quieter than the Stingers. Reports are that they are only slightly louder than stock.

Has anyone put on the FRPP power pack ones "GTA mufflers" or have first hand experience with them. I just got the FRPP stingers and the sound is mean and low, look great, but might be a little too much for me - thinking about something not quite so agressive and without quite as much resonance at 1800 RPM. I kind of like the idea of keeping it "stock" with ford parts. Let me know your thoughts.

You could install some resonators. They help with the drone and seem to quite the sound a bit.
