RE: max rpm
Is there a big difference between 87 octane and 93 octane in performance using the Brenspeed C&L,SCT X-cal2 tune? Mine is on the way, the mufflers are comming first which are Pypes Violators. We have all grades of gas here but of course am running 87 octane my 07 GT has allmost 1.900 miles on it put on in the last three weeks. I hope this question is not too stupid............BUT will the 93 octane gas require different plugs? They told me at the dealer to all ways use 87 or I'll have problems with messing up plugs and exhuast etc.
Does the SCT tune address all that? Brent said I should start off with the 87 octane tune and run that gas out. Then at the gas station reset the tune for 93 and fill with same. Is that about what you guys did?
I hope you can tolerate my knowing nothing. Im 52 years old, and just ate up with this new car. Makes me feel young.

RE: max rpm
Thanks for all the input ...I had my limiter set at 6500 and was bouncing off it when doing a burnout and that is what got me thinking about this ..just did not want to wind it up enough to damage anything . I have been shifting around 6200 but was busy looking out my rear mirror at all the smoke and forgot all about the tach Warlok ...you do not need to change plugs. However you will need to adjust rear view mirror so that you can see the big grin on your face when you get Brents 93 tune in

BTW, I hear ya on the 'makes me feel young' comment. I'm 58, and my 05 Mustang GT time warped me back to my muscle car days in the 60's. Great feeling!
