Default For all The convertibles out there.....

Just Wondering about 2 things with all yall convertibles.... 1) I have this Nasty stain on my black top.... what do u guys recommend using to get this stain off without hurting the fabric or anything???? 2) Fall/Winter is coming... therefore to cold for the top down at all, I have a Black top.. just wondering is there any product or anything that i can spray that might make the top fabric look "shiny" or "Fresh/New" looking that you can spray on there...? Thx!

for cleaning - 303 cleaner, for protecting - 303 protectant

They have kits for both vinyl and cloth tops.

My stang is not a vert but my wife has a vert vw beetle(dont laugh). I wanted the top to repel water like it did when we first got it.
I tried the 303 and it really doest have the same effect as the factory treatment did so after trips to different dealerships i found a kit at BMW. It comes with cleaner and protectant and is really easy to use. It also comes with car wash dash cleaner and resin remover. And yes it cost 60.00 for the kit but its worth it.

Wadman,

Do you have additional info on that BMW kit? may be worth checking it out for future use...

I suggest checking out www.autogeek.net It has helpful advice and just about every product you could possibly want regarding the care and detailing of your 'Stang.

Personally, I use 303 aerospace cleaner and protectant on my 06 Vert GT (black vinyl top) and have been quite happy with the results. I applied them as soon as I got my car in June. I didn't pay more than $20 for both.

A question for you...Is the top cloth or vinyl? I know in 07 cloth is an option otherwise its vinyl for 05 and 06. That's important in which treatment you plan to use. Autogeek has info on the two types of tops.

Hope this helps...
