Ok, so it was a 70's-80's something vette and we were racing from a stop sign so I allready had a length on her. The vette hung with me though second, but I saw her falling behind when I hit third. This is the first time I really hit third gear hard and I was dissappointed that I couldn't chirp the tires. I did have the wife in the car and the A/C on. i don't think the vette had AC or atleast it wasn't on.

I't my goal now to chirp third gear, all I have is a CAI and 91 octane tune. I can bark second really good. When I shifted to third I barely had my foot on the clutch so i was surprised I got it in gear at all. I think it was the fast second/third shift i've ever accomplish. I also have the hurst short throw which helps.

What do you call it when you shift while barely pushing in the clutch? Is that granny shifting?

My wife said the women in the passenger seat wasn't very good looking, I didn't see either. The way i remember it in my mind was they were the two chics off of canonball run.

granny shifting is just shifting slow pushing the clutch to the floor

you barely push the clutch in when you speed shift, but speed shifting itself is much more complicated than just barely pushing down on the clutch

It was an orange vette!!!!!! Damn that's eerieeee. Maybe it was Dirk.
I'm not kidding either, it was orange and the exact same body style as Dirk's. I was behind it on the way home on the 4 lane and passed them shortly before it 2 laned so all I saw was long hair flying out of the window.
