Default Supercharger

Why does everybody with a Mustang GT want to put a supercharger on it? Is there nothing else you can do to these engines except put a power adder on it?
I dunno, it just seems to me that the F-body crowd was contient with what they had and surely it was enough, and maybe every now and then you would see an F-body with a power adder. However, it seems like everybody with a Mustang wants to put a power adder on it. Seriously, it only adds about 100-150 Hp respectabley and really does a number to the engine in stock trim. Is it really worth the money?

Tell me, how many N/A guys do we have out there in the 11's yet, and why does the new Shelby Cobra can only do a 13.1 in 1/4 (road and track) and the best time was 12.5 (car and driver). It's a freakin 500 Hp car... it should easily be in the 11's in stock trim.

Why? What other single mod can you do and get the kind of power FI gives you? It's also very controllable and there is no tank to refill.

You may notice that F-Body's have a significantly bigger engine. To be competitive we need something more than a CAI or cat-back.

With my KB I have almost doubled the engines power with a few days work and I can drive it every day.

Detonation is what will hurt the motor most. Usually due to a bad tune or inadequate fuel system.

The Cobra is new. Fast reports are already coming in and there will be a lot more as people figure out how to tweak the car. I don't think many who know what’s in the car will deny the potential it has.

I like how you say ONLY 100-150 hp lol. Apparently you've never experienced the difference in a stock car with that much horsepower added to it. BIG difference. It is expensive, but can't do anything about that. You wanna play, go gotta pay.

i get your point and agree for the most part....

"it only adds about 100-150 Hp respectabley and really does a number

The power adders are simply toys for our toys.....the cost is pretty
much a non factor.....

"is it worth it?".....depends on who you ask..for me, YES. The professional install and Dyno tune was not cheap, but when I crank my car and hear that whine, then put it in gear and go...all I can say is, it is awesome....attached is a picture of mine

good luck...
