Default RE: A little tip for you s/c guys thinking of a rebuild...

I think some of you know my thoughts from the "other forum" TM...

I think this is more a matter of regulating the belt driven induction engine of choice on the back-side (as it slows down)...

From what I have seen, too little thought has gone into the design of that side:

1. You are right - not a lot of real-word experience at those power levels yet
2. Dyno queens won't see it as soon as dynos don't decelerate the same way as real cars do
3. who cares about deceleration!?!?! That's no fun at all...

The Centri's, I belive have both a slightly different issue and possible solution in the form of a turbo-like (or actually a turbo) waste-gate...

The KB's and Saleens have a little different situation as "waste" is handled "inside" so regulating it is a little harder, but not impossible...

All of that said, I am not sure I can prove this conclusively in the near future... I plan on adding a little more power, but not quite that much in the immediate future... Time constraints mean I won't be getting around to the short block for a while...

No question that turbos are well proven up there at this point, but I am not ready to write-off blowers just yet...
