I am a GTOAA member as we have a 67. So I have the opportunity once a summer of sitting at the track and watching GTO's run all day long. New and old.
Most guys struggle to get into the 14's even with the 6.0. Good drivers seem to be hitting mid-high 13's stock. With bolt ons and drag radials they turn around 13 flat or high 12's.
So given the car looks like crap. I certainly dont see a huge performance difference. I am sure the 6.0 is faster in some way, but in the quarter they dont show it.
