Is the 5 speed automatic any good with v8? Is there a huge performance difference versus the manual with gas mileage and acceleration?

Other question is about price. Is $23,200 a good price for a 2006 Auto Premium GT?

Has anyone here killed an autotrans yet? Or have they not been out long enough for that to happen. I'm just concerned about it because I've had 4 transmissions die on me since I've been driving so I kinda hate them. I'm looking at Auto Gt currently because the dealer has an extra incentive on auto GTs.

Very good price. I have an auto and it's great. I'm very happy with it. Test drive it and see if you like it. Do a search and there is like a billion threads on stick vs auto. It's just you're opinion on which one you like. If not careful, another useless argument will start. Regardless, that is a great price, if you like it, buy it, and you'll be happy! [8D]

I was faced with the same question when I purchased my 06 about a month ago....

I did some research and the same info kept coming up, that the new auto trannys were very strong. So I went with the auto, and I haven't looked back!

I have the auto also and love it. Just get whatever will make you happy and have fun! $23,200 is a very good price for an auto premium GT. Is that the price after the rebates, cause the link says $28,875.
