RE: GT 500 failure...mabye
My personal review of the GT500-
As some of you may know, I've been going to our local Ford dealership alot about Mustang GT/CS's. Well, they had a Blue Shelby convertible with white stripes down the middle ... Car looked absolutely gorgeous. I sat inside of it and imagined myself driving on the freeway with the top down next to a Z28 . Car would seem on the outside like a perfect "SVT", and a good rendition of the "Terminator". I figure "If they could keep the price under $40,000 or under $45,000 they will sell alot of these!" So I go around to the sticker side and see the price tag set at $74,950. The way I see it is - At this price, for this speed, if you have this much money you are better off buying a Z06 or an SRT-10. Either way the car will be faster and much more exotic than an S197 Mustang, which you see (granted, different versions) everywhere. Now, I didn't get to test drive the car, so I can't tell you about my personal experience driving it, but I do know that is this car was marked in the 40,000 range they would be selling ALOT more than they are at 74k.
