A poll question without an actual poll
How many of you guys have "backup" cars that you drive if it's raining or during the snowy months? Do you guys drive your "other" car and then leave the stang for Sundays?
I pretty much can't afford the car itself, so I'll be the guy driving it for every occasion including the snowy months in ND. I understand that many mustang owners keep their car in pristine condition with super low miles and only drive it for special occasions. I know we all have our own opinions on usage of the stang, but I'll just say I'm lucky to be driving this car.
Basically, I wanted to get a feel for how you other owners treat your ride and how much I may differ from the norm.

Weekends, nice weekdays.. whenever I want to take her out. Use my PU for daily driving / business. 4 mos old just turned 1200 mi subtract out 260 mi for a 1 day road trip, and she's basically my "go get a beer" car and tool around town car.

I have a real beater for the wet and snowy days, 1992 Ford Tempo. I keep the miles low on the Mustang for 2 reasons: (1) I love the car and I don't want the mileage to be commuting. (2) Insurance is cheaper if you insure it as a low mileage vehicle. I'm allowed 7,500 miles/year.
I usually drive the Mustang to work twice a week and then have fun with it on the weekends.

Well, myself I own a landscape company so I drive a pickup during the day when working. The stang stays in the garage. When the family all goes out together we take the SUV for space and comfort. The Stang will never see a snow flake UNLESS during the Winter we get those spells where it is warm with no ice/snow on the street. It will be a 4x4 all winter long. I dont even drive my car in the rain UNLESS it happens to catch me while I'm out. During the week at night if I run to a local store for some snacks or something I take the stang but that is a 10 minute trip.
When I first got my car I drove everyplace because of the excitement factor. Thats probably why I just hit 11K.

My other ride is 1999 Mercury Sable.
Although every time I leave the house I wind up inside my stang without realizing I was suppose to take my other car. Once the bad weather comes our way she will be in the garage and I'll have no choice but to choose the Sable.
