Do You Really Need To Replace The Stock Springs
Afternoon all. I started recieving my suspension components yesterday and had a thought. Do the stock springs on a 06 GT really need to be replaced? Maybe I am getting cold feet and afraid of causing mechanical issues with my car, which is brand spanking new. I have purchased, Vogalund Springs, Tokico D-Specs, LCA, Adj. UCA, Adj. Panhard Bar, and a Panhard Bar Brace. By just replacing the stock shocks/struts with the Tokicos achieve a significant handling upgrade that the stock springs can stay in?
I am a commuter here in CA. My car is a daily driver (450 mi a wk) and on weekends i like to drive the local canyons, and mountain roads. So, obviously I want good cornering. I feel the stock suspension is not bad but is a little sloppy in the corners. Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks!

RE: Do You Really Need To Replace The Stock Springs
mine is a daily driver as well. Youre gonna get a lot of opinions, but here's mine - the biggest problem is the lower control arms. Just changing them helped the rear in my car. If your gonna change springs, you have to get adjustable lowers or upper, to correct the pinion angle. Camber plates arent a bad idea either. When changing the springs your only gonna improve the looks if you don't change all the components that compliment them. Personally I would change the lowers and see how you like that before you mess with anything else.
