Default Will this work on an 05?

I bought a C&L CAI and xcalibrator tune from Brenspeed for my 06 GT and I want to sell it to my brother-n- law for his 05 GT. Will it work? I know Brenspeed asked me for a specific computer code from my car, thats why I'm wondering. Thanks

I think it will work, not much changed from 05 to 06. Why are you selling it?

Just tried the tuner on it and it says "WRONG VEHICLE". I guess that answers my question. I'm going to call Brenspeed and see if it can be reprogrammed with his ECM code. I'm selling it because I'm selling my car. Thanks guys

Return your car to the stock tune, and then plug it in his car. It should work.

thats a good question because some parts you order online ask you to choose "2005 ONLY" or "2006-up"

Unless you guys have the same code on your engine that you gave to Brenspeed, it will not work. I'm sure Brent would re-program it for you though, he is a nice guy.

it doesnt matter if its an 05 or an 06, what matters is that each vehicle has a specific ECU number that each programmer is tuned for, so it will not work on any other car than the one it is tuned for. That is until you get it retuned for the new vehicle. which is where brent comes in. ta da.
