Track tonight!

RE: Track tonight!
Just going through the basics.
1.TCS OFF.
2.Do not worry about your R/T as your time starts when your vehicle moves.(unless bracket racing)
3.Get your tires nice and warm since you have DR's with the burnout box.
4.When staging creep up to it as slow as you can, try to get a deep stage stop and immediately when you see the bottom light come on.
5.With your DR's and LCA's you should be able to get a great launch. 1.8/1.9 60 ft's should happen.
6.Do not drop the clutch when you launch, feather it out.
7.If this is your first time at the track, don't sweat it because your first few runs will be pretty bad. You will only improve
8.Have fun and post your times!

RE: Track tonight!
First run: 14.36@97 with a 2.46 60 ft.
Secong run: 13.65@99.2 with a 2.10 60 ft.
Third run: 13.42@101.04 with a 1.92 60 ft.
Overall I'm pretty happy with my times. The first run i bogged a little bit, which killed my 60 ft. On the second run, I launched around 3300rpms and spun a just a lillte bit at the top of first. I also hit the gate tryin to shift into fourth. On the last run, I dont think that I could have done any better. I dont claim to e a good driver, but that was as good as I could do, lol.

This is my second '06. First one flooded, thank God for gap insurance. The best I got outta that one was a 13.52 with an xpipe and an axle back. All I have with this one so far is the lower CA's and the nitto DR's. I guess traction does make THAT much of a difference.

Absolutely, traction often makes or breaks you. The first time I ran my '05 I put myself in the 14s because I launched way too high and spun out way too long on my street tires so my 60' time was kinda like your first one LOL.
