You certainly don't need a TT...lol
Take a look at the big outlaw classes and ask why they almost all run a big single.
There are dozens of cars out that kill the stock Z06 and viper with KB's, Saleen's, Procharger's, and turbos. Just go to a local track and I'm sure you'll see one of them.

If you are talking about in the 1/4 then it's not super hard. Making them accelerate over 140 is something different. Takes a lot more power to move something with a .37 drag coefficent. I think a Corvettes is like .29 or something.
