Correct about the 427. Oops!
You may not be wrong after all! a production or Sportsman 351W can be stroked to a maximum of 427ci. But a 351W version DART manufactures can be bored and stroked to 461ci!!! so 457ci is a possibility.

i dont think it would be all that difficult to do.... a car is just a shell... put in a new engine, new tranny, new DS, new rear end... just get it all to fit and bolt up right... might take some modding of the suspension and steering to fit and such, but it is do-able... Oh and a crap load of green!
