RE: 16.7 mpg on 1st tank
My car was 2 weeks old with 1400 miles on it.
Took a 400 mile (one way) trip and got 25.6 mpg @ 70 mph, and 25 mpg @ 75 mph.
Cruise control on, AC on, and the radio BLASTING, enjoying the ride.
BTW..one of the most comfortable drives I have EVERY taken.

All these lead feet around here. I need to put the petal to the metal more often. I am getting 22-23 on 91 octane and my wifes car is getting about 24. I don't know what city mileage is like since I live out in the country.

While I was breaking in my GT, it was getting anywhere between 18 - 20 MPG, but now its averaging 21 - 23 in 50/50 city hwy.
On a recent long distance road trip (1400+ miles), it averaged 27 MPG while driving no more than 75 MPH.
During a 90 mile run, I drafted behind an 18-wheeler and averaged 31.999 MPG. I would've loved to have gotten that kind of mileage during the whole trip.
