Default 16.7 mpg on 1st tank

Not too bad considering that's in town spirited driving. I wasn't trying to drive it easy for mileage. The computer said 22 avg mpg when I filled it up, way off.

It will get better once you put some more miles on it. I got 21mpg on my last tank which is higher than my normal 18. I did take a few 30 mile trips to Gainesville which is mostly 65 all the way so that helped, but once there it's a stop and go 35mph crawl![:@][:@] The last 30 miles were done this morning and they were very spirited, i was practicing my launching on a nice deserted road. That's on 93 octane using a JLT CAI plus 91 tune.

My computer hasn't ever read above 17mpg by the way.

I'm thinking I should be able to get 20 in town if I take it easy. I'm having too much fun for now to worry about gas mileage.

'05 GT, picked up February 18, 2005 Used for weekends. Santa Cruz Mountains. as little "city" driving as I can get away with. Love hearing the engine REV. Granatelli System expected in next Tuesday Wednesday.

I keep records in Quicken. Every time I buy gas I log gallons and odo miles.
'05 8,843 miles, 18.2 MPG
'06 5,083 miles, 17.8 MPG

MOST of the time I check my "Gallons Used" readout before getting out to fill it up. Usually within a 1/2 gallon.

While sitting at the stop lights, I can watch the MPG readout ticking down, down, down, down.

My MPG readout doesn't change that fast. It usually takes 5 to 8 miles to change.

I never had a tank under 20mpg....until the blower. Now I am about 16-17 average driving.

Mine changes pretty quick all the time. On the road I like to watch it. It tells me different numbers when I'm going up and down hill.

On the way from Cupertino to San Francisco I'll be getting about 24 MPG at 72/75 MPH. Going throught the City and across the Golden Gate I'll drop two to three MPG. Doesn't ever show that reading again on the way to Santa Rosa or whatever.
