Default Exhaust Noise

Every once in a while(2 or 3 times a month) I hear a little pop come from my exhaust. It almost sounds like engine backfire, but it's definatly different. Any ideas?

Is it right when you start up the car? When you first start your car up, let it warm up for a bit before you go and you will not get any "backfire".

it's generally happening with the engine warmed up. It's almost always when accelerating from a stop.
