1/2 way done installing my KB s/c .... some info for those interested.
I thought I would give some facts and opinions from my experience installing the KB supercharger on a 06 GT.
KB claims you just need basic tools and basic mechanical knowledge. I would suggest you not install this kit yourself if you are not a pretty knowledgable, well equiped "DIY" type. Also, I would not attempt it if you are the type to rush things.
Just realise you will need to remove the front end of the car for the install (bumper/grille/absorber/fender liners/etc). You will have to gut the factory engine harness to relocate the wiring for the throttle body and relocate/install/splice/solder various connections. While this is not too difficult, it is very time consuming and you need to be very gentle.
So far, I have run into a few minor clearance issues with the intercooler heat exchanger and the PCM reloaction bracket. Easy fix was to re-drill larger holes. Also, so far, the kit seems pretty complete. I will post more as I get further along the installation.

I will post some pics after I am done. I have my digi camera in my tool box, have been taking various pics during the install.

Yeah Ttribe, take lots of pics. I'm eventually going to go with a twin screw SC and I am real interested in the actual install of the KB.

I will post em this weekend, just save this thread
I did not take enough pics for the complete install ... hell, KB manual probably has 500-600 pics in it (wish some of them were more clear). It will definately tell you what is in store for you if you attempt this yourself though!

Did you put the intake on yet?
Check it VERY well for casting flash inside the intake!
You may need to trim the intake gaskets unless they have changed the intake.
Watch for clearance issues with the alternator when you install the idler pulley.

Since we're on the subject, which superchargers on the market are twin screw? I thought the Saleen was, but I saw someone say it was a roots type blower.

Thanks! One more question. Does anyone think these superchargers will have a significant drop in price withint the next 3 years? Significant would be 25%.
