Had mine painted on and they are covered with clear. Long ugly story ended up only costing me $700.00 and taking about three weeks. However, they finaly got it right and I still have a lifetime warranty!

I've had my vinyl boss stripes removed to have them painted on. My car has been in the paint shop going on 8 weeks now.... but the owner/painter re-painted the whole car! Can't wait to get it Friday

I had vinyl stripes on mine for about a week before i tore them off. They look like crap. I had a set of vinyl on my rocker panels too. After 5 months they started to peel off. Took them off too. It took me over 8 hours to remove the 3M adhesive off the rocker panels.Vinyl looks good from a distance, but not up close and personal.I havenever seen a vinyl job that i liked. Just a preference though. PAINT IS THE WAY TO GO!

Personally, I had mine cleared and it was so worth it! I was at the dealer and I could see that they put stripes ona mustang they had on the lotand did not clear them and everyone must have been checking to see if they were vinyl or painted and the invoice said they are painted and cost $2000! I laughed and thought to myself this is why the car sits here and was not sold for many months. JMO but if they are not cleared pay the extra cash to have it done.....mine are smooth as glass!
ORIGINAL: nothsa

For only $600 dam, that's a good deal but I would rather of had them in them in the paint and cleared.

Looks like they did a great job with it though!

I am actually getting painted black stripes on my tungsten right now, its been exactly 2 weeks. It is going to cost about $1500 but thats because they are sanding down the front bumper, hood, roof, trunk, spoiler and rear bumper. Its going to be all repainted with the stripes.

I got the Vinyls for now, only because to have them buried and recleared it will cost me about 1500 smackers. So I'm waiting till I get my new hood, chin spoiler, rear spoiler, and then I'll have the entire car done, Guardsman Blue (Otherwise known as 1964 Ford Blue) Double 12" Stirpes, and GT 350 Side Stripe. The plan is next year. But for now, Ford Blue 12" from Baltimor streetmods look pretty damn good. I like em, and I get alot of comments on them as well.

Either way that silver does look good with that windveil blue.....good luck
