what octane should be used?
when i left the dealership with my car, they told me to only run 87 octane; that the car was made to run on 87 octane and anything higher would be a waste of money. has anyone seen any gains from running a higher octane on a stock car? and/or should a highter octane be used when you add a tuner and CAI?

87 should do it while stock...not sure if you need to go higher after CAI...I'll let the pros answer that one..

you don't need higher octane with just a CAI. once you add a higher octane tune you will, obviously. there are also 87 octane tunes. the higher the octane, the higher the flash point. until you make changes that raise the internal temperatures and pressures, you do NOT need a higher octane. anyone that says they notice a difference with 91 in a stock car is experiencing the placebo effect lol
