and by the way, should I get the 18x9. GT500 wheels that come off a gt500 or 18x9.5 black billet wheels with crome lip(deep dish or not)??????????

If that Vette is an 6 speed car you will have your hands full, but I still think you have a chance. BTW all 6 speed 96 Vettes were LT4 330 hp, all auto 96 Vettes were LT1's.

i handed a guy in a white C5 convertible his *** not too long ago here in Houston. A 96 shouldnt be much to worry about, just give him hell!!!

Sorry, if vette is a LT4 (6spd) i'd put my money on that one. They are suprisingly quick for the older vettes. LS1 vettes are even quicker. Good friend of mine knocked off a 12.8 on a 97 Vette, it was completely stock car on regular street tires. Guessing the LT4 might can do a low 13.

The LT4 was optional on the Corvette in 96, standard if you Grand Sport. Odds are it has the 300hp LT1, but it could have the 330hp LT4.

I think you'd have no problem beating it if it was an LT1, but I don't know what would be the outcome if it was an LT4.
