I installed mine in the garage and if you remove the fan it does make life a lot easier. Normal puller can be used and the impact has alot of room to work. According to the butt dyno I cant feel any increase in HP but the engine does rev faster and easier. It feels like the engine has less drag on it. Decel is much smoother also. I for one plane to add 1 amp and two 12in subs to my shaker 500. I guess time will tell if alt has issues. I do know that an alt rebuild shop can build a high output one for you if needed.
