really helpfull info about the thermostat .... but as of now do you still recommend a thermostat or you guys sugest something else ?
Because I can really feel the heat after some time of driving coming thru my shifters leather boot... and I cant really tell if my temp is high but the stock gauge shows that its over half by a little ( going to HOT )

It sounds to me like a little more research is involved:
1. You need to figure out how high of a temp the car is reaching.
2. Determine whether or not the high temp conditions are "too much" for the thermastat. What I mean here is: when the car is considered hotter than normal, is the thermastat completely open?
3. You'll need to compare that to the "normal" operating temp of a Mustang GT.
[EDIT] Apparently I forgot that 3 comes after 2.
I know I may be rehashing and over-generalizing, but after reading all of the posts here, it seems like after doing the above, you should come to a conclusion:
If the car's temp indeed goes higher than normal AND:
your thermastat IS NOT constantly fully open THEN:
it sounds like you're in the market for a cooler thermastat.
your thermastat IS constantly fully open THEN:
changing the mix, adding water wetter, etc may help. If not, it sounds like a bigger radiator is in order.
If the car's temp is NOT higher than what is considered "normal" THEN:
you may have other issues (transmission, clutch, etc, as others have stated).
Just my 2 cents worth.

Hi Saud,
Just reading your post.. I’m having the same problem! I live in Dubai and this heat is killing the engine! I have installed an after market temp gauge, a digital gauge so I can see exactly what my car is running, I have also data logged my car and both temps match perfect. My car rarely goes under 200, almost all the time around 215 and sometimes in mid afternoon around 220.. This is way to hot i think! I installed a water spray on the engine that sprays water when u go over 4000 rpm (Did this in Abu Dhabi) every bit helps here.. Tonight I’m gonna order a larger radiator with flexalite dual fans also some colder spark plugs.. The difference between the power during the day and night is unbelievable here.. Let me know what u did to solve ur issues.. btw people this is me last night having a race with a friend.. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKeHBm25470 Enjoy! Mark
