gain with lt's

i put my kooks lt's with o/r x pipe on a few days ago and i haven't got a chance to get it on the dyno and tuned is there a bigger gain with a tune? I mean is it noticeable I know putting them on must lean out the a/f ratio especially with no cats best thing is my ecu didn't throw a code thanks

RE: gain with lt's

You've definitely gotten bigger gains and I would HIGHLY recommend a tune to get the optimal results.

That is weird your CEL didn't go on.. Are you using MIL eliminators?

Yes, a tune is required to get the most HP out of it. I would also be concerned about your a/f ratio. Get it tuned ASAP so you don't risk any damage from lean running.

A competent tune shop (Brenspeed, Evolution, and so on) should be able to send you an Email tune that will work fine. Brent says his Email tunes match a custom Dyno tune with 1-2 HP, which is less than the error of the Dyno.
