I used duplicolor too (4 coats) and it started to flake off after a couple of months. I redid it using primer, followed by 1,200degree header paint from Pep Boys and have had no further problems.

Rupp,
I guess you could paint the part of the pad that is exposed if you want to. I don't think I would however. And make sure the paint doesn't stick the two together, those pads need some movement. You can mask off, if using the brush on paint kit I used, or remove the pad and stick a thin piece of cardboard or something up there so you dont get any on your rotors.

Now get your self some steeda pulleys and get 10 more rear horsepower. Its cheap and affordable for us poorer people.
