A turbo might do the trick.

It's gonna take some serious mods to break traction at 55 in a 05-07 GT. On dry pavement my car won't even come close to breaking traction at 55 mph. On wet roads, speed shifting, sure it won't be a problem. But why the need to break traction at 55 mph? A spinning car does'nt = good acceleration. By the way, I have driven a 06 pontiac GTO-stick, a 05 Corvette manual, and a 03 cobra with mods, and they would'nt break traction above 40 mph.

Am I going to have to be the one to say WHY??? I mean if you want more power that is great, I'm all for more power. But why break traction??? Unless you are into doing the drifting thing, then you really don't want to break traction. I mean I other than a burnout to show off, there is NEVER a time that I want to break traction. Any time I am breaking traction that means that I am not getting the power to the pavement in the right way and I am loosing precious time, or I am out of control. That is not good...at least to me!!!!!!

Sorry Ski,

I wasn't directing my comments about the dyno graphs and stuff at you, they were for the original poster of the thread. The way the thread starter posted his questions made me think he was not fully aware of how the power is delivered throughout the rpm range and just thought all the power and torque is to the ground all the time.

Next time I will put a better header on the reply message.

But like everyone else said, why would anyone want to break traction at 55mph? You will end up having 3500 lbs traveling at 55 mph that is out of control = lots of damage. I was driving in light rain going 80mph and stabbed the throttle in 3rd on the hwy and it broke traction and the tail stepped out-that was enough to teach me the wonderous safety of friction.
