Shaker Hood Intake

I have seen the shaker hood intake kits for around $800. Looks great, but I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with the shaker hood kits, and if so, how do they perform, and hold up?

Yeah I have a ?.... The K&N Hi flow intakes don't mention any tuner changes... Don't these cars require a re-tune if you change over to a CAI type of intake system?
