Default I know I know....do a search! I HAVE!!!!!

I've looked through all the threads I could find on shifters and haven't made up my mind yet. I also understand that a shifter is going to come down to personal preference moreso than anything else. However, I would be interested in your recommendations on my wants.

1. Shorter throw(obviously)

2. I like the notchy feel with positive gear engagement.

3. I want the rip to 3rd to be quick and easy with no chance of a miss.

4. I'll be honest...I like the slightly bent lever that angles back toward the rear.

5. I don't want to have to sweat to get it in gear either. No using two hands.

Any recommendations would be awesome, and at this point if I'm going to go with a shifter I think I've ruled out the adapter.

Theyre all relatively similar, it really is personal preferance. I did have bad luck with Hurst though. The threaded portion of the shifter with the **** broke off.

Everybody I've talked to (including myself at times), likes the Saleen short throw adaptor on the stock shifter. It shortens the throw by about 30-40% or better and the feel can be adjusted somewhat depending on how much you want to torque the bolt and nut. I adjusted mine twice before I really got it to where I like it the best.

Just make sure you use plenty of a good thread locker when you get it just right.

+1 to Underbird's comments.....As far as the 2nd to 3rd throw, you might want to look at the threads pertaining to the K Member Torque limiter......

Talk to Riven. He has both the Saleen adaptor and the torque limiter.....

Some folks with the adapter have had problems when they put a one-piece driveshaft on.
