Default Any 4:10 gears changers notice more NHV?

Has anyone picked up more interior vibration since the gears change? I notice some buzzing about 80 MPH. It's loud enough to bug me. It seems like the center console and gear selector area. Any input?

Unfortunately, haven't gotten it up that fast since the install...wet roads + speed doesn't equal good times...If/when it dries out, I'll let you know!

mine is very smooth, how long have you had the gears? did you break them in?

Spinning the driveline faster always could present additional noise and vibration concerns due to balance and harmonics being different at those rpm points.

Yes, the driveshaft does indeed turn faster, but that should not add any NVH. It could very well be that the drive shaft did not get reconnected to the pinion in its original orientation.

In all fairness, these gears are new, a few days and less than 200 miles. I didn't think there would really be a long break in period. I am going to do some more freeway driving and see if the noise goes away or stays.

mine seems to growl around 80 too...but i put new lca's on at the same time so i can say if its the gears or just more vibrations transfering the lca's
