Default Dual fuel pumps?

OK, so the next logical step on our car to add more power is, I'll need more fuel. We are currently making close to 540hp on stock fuel pump. I'm sure I'm I have crossed the 'safe' line a few times @ WFO! I'm guessing my current fuel pump is @ 100% duty cycle much more then it needs to be.
Now I have been doing some research and WOW the prices are all over the place. I assume our stock fuel pump rate is 255LPH. I also assume this is @ 40PSI. (anyone?) Now there are always options and seen a few of them. The prices run from a do it yourself 'non kit' where I will mix and match parts from different venders for somewhere around $400 to almost $1000 for complete drop in tank and plug into existing wiring. Now for the most part I have gone 'first class' or 'top shelf' with each and every upgrade we have done so far to our car. It just seems odd that IF (and that is a big if) one can get the same goals accomplished and save a lot (to me) of money why and how are these different fuel pump systems priced so differently? Is it quality, profit, or supply and demand?

fyi I understand that we'll also need to think about internals and other things before adding more HP! But I'm kind of getting the nervous that I've been on borrowed time for a while. At this point the only thing I'll change is the fuel system. Thanks 05SDI

I can say that we sell the Saleen E car fuel pump set up. Basically it includes GT500 fuel pumps (has 2), new pump driver and new ele. harness. Another possibilty si the Kenne Bell boost-a-pump.

What about the ford GT fuel pump? Is this not and upgrade or a drop in replacement?

I do think to GT pump will work also. We have not test fit one yet....ele. connector etc. We do sell them, but I do recommend changing the driver with them also.
