Should I call you out on drafting? Sure....I can get 35mpg's when I'm tucked up behind an 18-wheeler. Seriously though, that's great mileage. I wonder how much these cars fluctuate straight from the factory....in terms of HP, Mileage, TQ numbers etc. I've always felt like my car was slower than everyone elses.

Just got back in from my Thanksgiving weekend trip. 800+ miles and I averaged 26.2 miles per gallon in my 06 GT. Not bad at all.

Thats great MPG. Its just about the same as I got on a road trip I did a few months ago.
Back in May, I went on a 1,400 mile road trip from Fla to Tenn and back.
My GT had an overall trip average of 26.718 MPG while travelling between 70 to 75 MPH.
At one point, it got 31.999 MPG, but that was because I drafted behind an 18-wheeler.
I was in the middle of GA and, after I filled it up the first time, I topped off the tank just before I got to the Florida border.
I travelled 91.9 miles, put in 2.872 gals, and calculated 31.999 MPG.
My best non-drafting MPG was 28.214 and my worst was 24.972 MPG, but that was when I was driving around the city and stuff. Still, that was pretty good.
I normally drive as efficiently as I can so my GT averages between 22 to 23 MPG combined city/hwy, but when I want to get on it, I will.

i have noticed the longer you go on your car without resetting the ecu, the better your mpg is. from the factory i got 12mpg. then 13mpg...then 14...15...16...17...18...now i'm at 21.4mph per tank and still climbing. i have 9000 miles on my car, no mods, no ecu or battery resets. i wonder when i hit 20,000 miles if i'll be getting 35mpg lol! and i redline at least 10 times/day...

Some of the posters here apparantly do not realize that steady speed, long distance fuel economy is much better than around town driving. 26 to 27 on a long trip with the cruise control is exactly what I would expect.
I have yet to take such a long, interstate highway trip, but I have topped 25MPG a few times with a combination of highway and a little in town driving.
