Does it in my 07 Auto. I thought it might be an air leak. Im just glad everybody else hears it. Mine starts around 2400 rpm. Sounds good when you keep your foot in it.

Ya, my 06 auto does the same thing. Sounds pretty cool but did it before and after my CAI mod.

It is the air rushing in to the CAI. On the older sn95's when you removed the snorkle you would get the sound.

I can do it on my 07 with C&L racer CAI at will. If I quick rev the car it will do it and its LOUD. It got real loud when I when I installed the CMCV deletes and UDPs. (Its probably because it will rev faster in neutral now.

I have not listened for it now that I have the LTs on the car (To busy listening to the exhaust note)

You do realize that even a stock car has a CAI. Have you even looked under your hood...?
It IS from air rushing thru it. It just gets more pronounced when you go to an aftermarket CAI.
The s197 unlike the sn95, does not use a rubber snorkle to silence the air intake, so even the stock cars can have pretty loud whistling.
