Drove a friends automatic '06 GT today and when I got on it I noticed a whistleling sound kind of like a supercharger... I liked it a lot, but my car doens't make it .. I'm a standard.... Any body else notice this Whistleing noise????

yea man i love that sound. i think its the stock air inake but im not too sure.

Can't be the stock intake... the car was completely other than a K&N CAI, but it made the sound before and after it was installed... are yall an automatic??? Does anyone know what this sound is???? I want it!!! lol

whistling? like when you first crack the throttle or a constant whistle?

maybe a throttle body spacer? those will give u quite the whistle.

No it's constant and gets higher pitched... like a super charger.... idk, her car didn't have anything done to it when i first noticed it... i guess it's just an automatic thing.....

Mine whistles if you drive in second gear and let off the gas pedal but that is a normal sound from the components winding down right??

Yeah when I down shift it makes a noise, but that's not the one i'm talking about.... I'm talking about when you give it some gas it makes it.

My automatic does, but it sounds like it's coming from my C&L open air filter. Like air being sucked in when I get into it. That and my S/C. I also like the sound from my exhaust when I manually downshift.
