Default Cool "Turbine" sound when switching off..?!

Has anyone else ever noticed this really cool "turbine"-like sound when shutting off the engine...?
I don't know how else to describe it other than the winding-down sound of a turbine (not loud, but still distinctive- and my wife hears it too so, no, I'm not imagining it).
I love that sound (wish it was louder!), but am curious to know what it is.

2007 Tungsten grey GT automatic (bone stock- for now....).

You think it's the electric fans turning off RedGTyl?
Too bad- I was hoping that mine mistakenly came with some kind of experimental supercharger...;-)

I only WISH it sounded louder 07AlloyGT...!
Say, could you tell me just how much of a REAL difference your mods made?
I don't mean tenths of a second in 1/4 mile time- but actual seat of the pants feeling when you nail it in normal driving.
I've heard lots of folks complain about "throttle lag", but when I nail it to pass someone the hesitation is for only a FRACTION of a second- then it just takes off like a bat out of hell...;-)
Also, how does a CAI and tune affect the gas mileage......?

Yea I'm pretty darn sure it's the fans. Since they are not running off the motor they turn off with the electric system which takes a second to completely turn off. Pretty cool. the spooling down makes it seem so high tech! haha

well, i noticed something when i put the stingers on. better fuel mileage from the start which surprised me and also a little more punch.

now, when i installed the CAI and the tune, holy crap. it's a total different car. the second i touch the gas, it's gone. snaps my neck back if i jam down on it and i chirp the tires in first and second now. it's a beast after the mods installed and i'm not done yet, lol. as far as gas mileage, i am getting about 1-2mpg more. bad thing is i'm driving it more so i fill up more often.

HMMMMMMMM- you make it sound tempting....!!
Mind telling me about what this all will cost me (including labor)..?
It's not that I'm not satisfied with the stock version (I really AM !)- but if these mods give it THAT much more punch, then I think I'd like to do that too.
Does any of this stuff void the factory warantee....???

the punch is incredible.....the change is wow....the price is $500-700 with a tuner and canned tune...(CAI)....warranty can nOT be voided unless they can prove your changes caused the issue....I have had no issues with my dealer...i just flash back to stock when taking he car in....also keep your stock air box in case you have a stickler of a dealer...

I hear it too. It is pretty neat. Yes, it's the fan winding down.
