Snow sucks!

RE: Snow sucks!
Well, my stang was under cover for winter until the tranny on my beater gave up last night. Of course it's been a nice winter until today. Snowy and cold. I hate driving the stang in this weather.

RE: Snow sucks!
i bought some snow tires for my stang and i am driving it through a chicago winter. only snowed twice; we are having an extremely mild winter here. anyway, it is FUN as HELL driving this car in the snow.turns are the best. turn the wheel like 1 inch. hit the throttle, and the back swings out! practically 0 turning radius...i can turn on a dime! only problem is you can't get on it...and i have snow tires and am stock! just a little throttle and i'm going sideways...not fun at all in traffic! but, as i said before, the doughnuts are a ton of fun, and dont rip up your tires like dry pavement does. i haven't had this much fun driving in the snow since i had my 1991 4x4 4.0L jeep cherokee laredo with RWD, and if i wanted, 4 wheel drive. i'd do doughnuts one after another, then turn on the 4 wheel drive and have perfect control. now THAT was a winter car :-)

RE: Snow sucks!
I was caught yesterday already on my way to work when it snowed quite a bit more than they had forecast. She did fine on the flats but climbing a slight incline was a real adventure. Basically I had to climb the incline at a 30 degree angle with the tires spinning.
Later that day I found some chains at a local shop and she drove home pretty well.
Taking the g/f's 4x4 today though

RE: Snow sucks!
Guys don't even talk to me about snow!!!
I live in Denver. Didnt notice if any other denver owners here...but it's like this...
The month of December left more snow in Denver than ALL last season.
The first blizzard dropped over 2"...the plowing here sucks...so it ended up being 4" of ice on the road...then the next blizzard dropped another 18"...then another two storms with 2-4" each...i literally do not have a single patch of dry/clean pavement on my street yet-and this started over a month ago.
I dont think the mustang will make an appearance this year until probably March. That's assuming we dont have any more snow (which of course will happen)...so in that case maybe April...who knows.
