You would not loose $15,000 trading your car in for a stick shift. If I were you, I would either suck it up and keep the automatic, or keep the automatic.

Yeah, come to think of it, $15,000 in mods would make a hell of a ride!!!
I took my friend for a drive the other day to the mall, he sits in my car and says "oh man, an automatique(hes French) what a waste!
I said to him back, and your Corolla is....?" LOL

The automatics on the new mustangs are actually pretty good with a tune. I on the other hand, learned my lesson with my previous mustang which was an automatic and i knew this one was going to be a stick. I couldn't be happier with the decision i made.

Great, another thread on auto vs. standard. If anyone doesn't know by now, the ATs in these Mustangs are great. They didn't just slap in an auto from your grandmother's '78 Fairlane here. Personal preference, I can see as a valid gripe--people like what they like and who's to say any different. But if you're thinking you are losing something (other than possibly a few HP, and there are various mitigating factors on that) you're not. The auto transmissions in the new Mustangs rock.

Thanks for the positive remarks bud. I appreciate it, maybe Horsepower TV should feature an auto GT to give it some glory.

Personally yah your going to loss a little horsepower with having the automatic but the tune will def firm up your shifts and if you dont have that you can shift mannually to get the most out of your car but the automatic transmission is not bad at all in the mustang esp with a tune ... i mean people are going to give you **** about it but who cares they are prob just jealous your still going to beat most of the ricers out there even if they dont miss a gear ...

With 15 grand you can buy everything you need to get blown and more so when someone talks **** ... just blow them away
