Default RE: Missing Gears

Here is the scoup. They basically limit the flex of the engine and trans mounts causing less flex in the drivetrain. If anything, it makes the car rock more. You no longer will feel any movement in the shifter when you are on and off the gas. You will also get firmer shifts and more power transfered to the rear tires.

Let's just say it doesn't do the synchro's any good.[:@] If you want a definate fix for that issue, get yourself a CHE K-Member brace with torque limiters. $165, half an hours work, and problem solved.
+1 Music City...I love mine. Simple mod that really ties everything together nice and tight. The steering improved because of the K member brace and the torque limiters really stiffened up the shifts. The only negative I noticed and it is a VERY small negative is that I can now feel when the suspension hits large bumps through the stick. Now that the tranny is tied more to the suspension via the K member brace, it might be transmitting a little of that. But, I also have the Hurst shifter with the stiffer bushings than stock. I did both of those mods the same day so it could be those helping me feel that too. The sensation is very minor and doesn't affect drivability or shifting, but I'm a freak about my car so I noticed it. The guy at Hurst told me that some guys are reusing the stock bushing at the rear of the shifter instead of the stiffer one they supply.
